Rachel's background as a police officer and former high school administrator equips her with a balanced perspective that prioritizes fairness and facts, ensuring that her coaching always revolves around the best interest of children. Her direct and practical approach to conflict resolution streamlines the mediation process, effectively minimizing both time and financial costs for all parties involved.
Rachel brings a wealth of experience in conflict resolution and negotiation, leveraging skills honed during ten years in law enforcement. During mediation, Rachel applies her deep understanding of human behavior, communication, and de-escalation techniques in a new context, helping parties reach amicable agreements in disputes. Her unique insight into legal and procedural nuances facilitates the mediation process, ensuring comprehensive and practical solutions that consider various perspectives.
Rachel has earned a B.A. in Spanish Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership. She has completed parent coordination training through The Cooperative Parenting Institute as well as a 40-hour divorce mediation training through The Center for Conflict Resolution. Rachel is a member of The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Rachel has further refined her mediation skills through parenting her children. When she is not mediating at work or in the home, she enjoys completing DIY home projects, playing with her two German Shepherds, and watching true crime documentaries.
