Parenting coordinators help separated and divorced couples resolve disputes over the interpretation of parenting plans, monitor compliance with those plans, and help to improve communication with one another.
If co-parents are deemed high-conflict, the court may order them to work with a parenting coordinator.
Co-parents may voluntarily agree to use a parenting coordinator to help resolve conflicts swiftly and avoid litigation. The stipulation can later be made into a binding court order.
To help minimize conflict and the negative impacts of divorce on their children, co-parents may sign a private agreement with a parenting coordinator of their choice.
